Who’s Your Farmer Day TODAY at Whole Foods Market Hawaii

After announcing the production of  INGREDIENTS Hawai’i – the localized follow up to INGREDIENTS – the local farms, locavores and Markets have shown great support for our project. And here’s an easy way for everyone in Hawaii to help the cause.  Join INGREDIENTS Director, Robert Bates, for an afternoon of local food, local chefs and local farmers.

And bring your shopping list because 5% of all proceeds on July 24 from both Whole Foods Kahala and Whole Foods Market Kahala and Kahulu will be donated to help fund the production of the movie INGREDIENTS Hawai‘i – a half-hour film highlighting local food in Hawai’i that embraces a return to a Hawai’i-produced diet to strengthen the islands’ economies, improve health and preserve cultural traditions.

Edible Film Festival presents “Ingredients”

The Edible Film Festival is sponsored by Edible Phoenix Magazine in conjunction with the Permaculture Guild’s Market on Mill with showings the second Thursday of each month benefiting a local non-profit organization

Ingredients at the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival

Ingredients will be screening at one of the country’s premiere documentary showcases, the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival in Arkansas. The screening is scheduled for Saturday, October 17th at 11:40 am in the downtown historic  Malco Theater.

Hot Spring’s emphasis is on documentary film as an art form as well as a means to promote critical thinking on real life issues. Through symposia, forums, discussion groups, and teaching, HSDFI brings cultural and social knowledge to all ages from the gifted work of film professionals.

Hawaii International Film Festival dates announced

Ingredients is screening at HIFF on October 23 @ 6PM, and October 24 @ 3:45 PM.

Director Robert Bates will be in attendance. Please join Robert for an after film discussion at the HIFF cafe, on the 2nd floor at the Dole Cannery.

BendFilm celebrates the brave voice of independent cinema through films, lectures and education.

Ingredients screens Thursday Oct. 8 at 8PM at the Regal cinema in Bend, Oregon. Filmmakers Robert Bates and Brian Kimmel will be in attendance.

This is the 6th annual BendFilm festival, and it is one of the most coveted by independent filmmakers because of their cash prizes!

Ingredients receives Silver Sierra Award

On October 24, Ingredients will receive the prestigious Silver Sierra Award for Documentary Filmmaking at the 2009 Yosemite Film Festival.

Founded by environmentally-aware, eco-friendly filmmakers, the mission of the Yosemite Film Festival is to bring all genres of progressive, eye-opening, independent cinema to Yosemite and to foster an appreciation and understanding toward the preservation and majesty of our natural world.

The 2009 festival will showcase feature films, shorts, foreign films, documentaries, animation, music videos, television pilots, an Environmental Filmmakers Showcase, experimental Films, a screenplay competition and more.
